Guestbook & Reviews

Experience Through Their Eyes

It has an unassuming location, an old gas station. The inside is still half a convenient store; beer and cigarettes and gum and such for sale. The food, however, is top notch. We stopped by on a road trip the sweet tea is on point and like ambrosia to a deprived northerner. The burgers are delicious diner-style complete with butter toasted buns and the Philly cheese was delicious also. Regional sides like fried pickles and corn nuggets were very satisfying. The chicken sandwich seemed like they took chicken breast, pounded it and breaded before frying. It was everything you could ask for flavor-wise in a funky and ultimately charming local package. Friendly guests offered conversation and anecdotes to road weary self and they seemed to enjoy their breakfast dishes they ordered. I would absolutely stop by again. Dine in or get it to go-- you will be satisfied. (I just cut the sandwiches in half myself, but I didn't ask them to. I am sure they would if you wanted.)

Read reviews online passing through. Stopped for lunch...did not disappoint! The catfish special was delicious. My husband and I both ate for $22 and we couldn't finish what was on our plates! The couple who own and work it are very hard workers and so very nice! Highly recommend!

My family and I were driving through and stopped to get gasoline. This is when my wife noticed this restraint across the street. So we stopped in to get a bite. The owner was fantastic to say the least. He noticed my grandson was wearing a Futbol uniform he loves and conversed with him and us about it. The food was cooked to order and was amazing. We bought the cheese burger specials and a grilled cheese dinner for our grandson. The place looks to be an aged building but don't let that fool you. If you're in McGehee, Arkansas and are hungry I highly recommend this place!

The cajun fries were absolutely amazing. Their menu is so large at such a great price. Absolute best restaurant in that town.

We were greeted by a waitress who was hands down the best server I think we've ever had. So friendly and thoughtful! Food was also so good everything felt like it was made at home. (Mississippi folk here!) We hope to be able to stop by on our way back through, if not, don't let this little spot fool you. I'd eat here every day of the week if we lived nearby!
